Dodano: 17 October 2024 przez OJiKMIn the language of young people, the word is used in the sense of ‘attention, interest; ability to draw attention’. The new meaning was created by copying the meaning of the English word ‘attention’. Traditionally, ‘atencja’ means ‘special respect, consideration shown to someone’ (it is an obsolete, bookish word). Example of usage:
I’d like to ask you for your attention [atencja]! I have something important to say /heard/.
